BFI London FF premiere for Ozon’s The Stranger with music by Fatima Al Qadiri

The UK premiere of The Stranger (L’étranger) by François Ozon takes place at the BFI London Film Festival on 18 October following its warmly welcomed world premiere at the Venice Film Festival in September.

The score for Ozon’s visually striking and emotionally compelling adaptation of Albert Camus’ novel features an ominous was composed by multidisciplinary artist Fatima Al Qadiri. Director François Ozon describes Al Qadiri’s work as “a bewitching, haunting score that combines electronic and classical instruments.” Drawn to her ability to merge Eastern tonalities with contemporary composition, the director reached out after admiring her acclaimed score for Mati Diop’s Atlantics.

Milan Records will release the full OST album on 29 October, to accompany the release of the film in French theaters.
