Composer Hannes De Maeyer Returns with a Chilling New Adventure for ITV!

After five seasons of Professor T, two seasons of The Couple Next Door and Patience, one thing is clear: composer Hannes De Maeyer and Eagle Eye Drama / Happy Duck Films are a match made in heaven. His distinctive, atmospheric scores have become an integral part of these productions’ DNA — subtle, intelligent, and emotionally spot-on.

Now, the creative team and Hannes are gearing up for a brand-new adventure with Winter, a six-part British police procedural produced by Eagle Eye Drama and Happy Duck Films for ITV. Starring Richard Armitage (The Hobbit, Hannibal) as brilliant but unconventional forensic pathologist Dr. Ethan Winter, alongside Annabel Scholey, the series blends gripping standalone cases with a deeper personal mystery.
Directed by Dries Vos and Kaat Beels, and based on the French hit Balthazar, Winter will be set in Bristol and Belgium, with filming starting in early 2026.
