🎬 Talent Spotlight: Justine Bourgeus (Tsar B)

Belgian composer and artist Justine Bourgeus (Tsar B) continues to establish herself as a singular voice across film and music. Blending classical training with a bold, genre-fluid approach, her work moves seamlessly between orchestral writing, electronics and experimental pop.

Recently awarded the Ensor for Best Original Music for This Is Not a Murder Mystery, Bourgeus is also gaining international recognition with The Writer, her latest album as Tsar Bpraised for its “cinematic textures and emotionally charged songwriting.”

Alongside her solo work, she contributed an original dance track to Julian, the debut feature by Cato Kusters, adding a distinctive pulse to one of the film’s key scenes . She is currently composing for a new slate of audiovisual projects, including Downtown (Michiel Van Erp), Floating (Quirine Racké & Helena Muskens), and Vidas Perras (Giselle Llanio), further confirming her position as one of the most distinctive emerging composers working today.
